It's all still a bit hush-hush but Stretch & Play have been developing some work for the Ulster Cancer Foundation to help children become more physcially active, eat more healthily and feel better about themselves (and dramatically reduce their risk of cancer). We are thrilled to be working with such a prestigious organisation on such an important issue so watch this space for more details on this project!

Hi!

I'm home from an incredible 2 week journey to Tamil Nadu in Southern India and it has given me a chance to see Indian entrepreneurs in action as well as to connect with peers from around the UK.

I have been doing a lot of thinking about replication/franchising in order to grow the market for Stretch & Play's services throughout Northern Ireland as well as the UK and Ireland and will be doing some work with professionals in the field to sort this all out.

If you're interested in working with Stretch & Play or running sessions in your local area do not hesitate to get in touch! If you just want to read about the madness of our trip to India please read our blog at http://unltdlearningjourneyspring2008.blogspot.com/

I will be going to India this weekend as part of UnLtd's Learning Journeys which take a group of extraordinary leaders (that's me!) on an interactive expedition to spend time some of India's most inspiring social entrepreneurs & NGOs. Each two-week journey immerses participants in a unique experience that encompasses hands-on site visits, access to some of the country's leading changemakers, discussion and debate around local and national issues, and personal and group reflection time.

The emphasis is on mutual learning, idea sharing and international collaboration, enabling participants to broaden their vision, challenge their thinking and develop new approaches to make greater impact in their work. Building on successful annual expeditions since 2005, they are running a Spring Learning Journeys which will take place from 5-18 April in southern India.

We will be visiting projects in Chennai, Nagapattinam and Pondicherry during our time and I'm hoping that we'll also be squeezing in a bit of yoga! I will be trying to blog a little during the trip so check back for pictures and updates of my progress.

The Stretch & Play office will be staffed by Chris and Gwen during my time away so please contact us by the ususal methods.
